8th Rufino Tamayo Painting Biennial

The National Council for Arts and Culture has opened the session of the 8th Rufino Tamayo Biennial of Painting, an event that has taken place since 1981 with the aim of promoting painting and fine arts of the national and international levels. Mexican artists who reside inside or outside Mexico, and foreign artists who can show residency in Mexico for a minimum of five years, may participate.

Each artist can participate with a minimum of two works and a maximum of three, produced between January 2005 and June 2006. The deadline for inscriptions is June 9th. The winners will be made known during the inauguration ceremony of the Biennial which will take place on August 16th.

 All the selected works will be reproduced in the catalog which will be edited by the Olga and Rufino Tamayo Foundation, A.C.
