At artnexus we use our own and third-party cookies to ensure the correct functioning of the site, analyze how our visitors use it and, where applicable, show you relevant advertising. This policy explains which cookies we install, for what purpose, and how you can manage them or withdraw your consent at any time.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet or mobile) when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences —such as your selected language, items in your cart or your logged-in session— for a set period of time, so you do not have to reconfigure them on each visit. In addition to cookies, we use similar technologies such as local storage (localStorage) to save browsing preferences that never leave your device.
We classify the cookies we install into three categories based on their purpose: technical and functional (necessary for the site to work), analytics (to understand how the site is used) and advertising (for marketing campaigns). Below we detail each category, the specific cookies it includes and their validity period.
These are essential for the operation of the site and the provision of the services you request. They do not require your consent and cannot be disabled without affecting your use of the site. We install the following: artnexus_consent, which stores your cookie decision and is valid for 1 year; authentication session cookies, which keep your session active while you browse and are deleted when you close your browser; the language preference, which remembers whether you browse in Spanish or English during the session; and the shopping cart state, which retains the items you have added during your visit. The conversation history with the Sumi assistant is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage and is never sent to our servers without your direct action.
These allow us to understand, in an aggregated and anonymous way, how visitors interact with artnexus.com: pages viewed, time spent, traffic sources and browsing patterns. This information helps us improve the site. They are only activated if you accept analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager (container GTM-PNQW5R59). The _ga and _ga_* cookies anonymously identify sessions and are valid for up to 2 years. Data is transferred to Google LLC (USA) under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. When you reject these cookies, Google Analytics only receives anonymous, cookieless traffic signals for statistical modeling, without identifying any user, in compliance with the Google Consent Mode v2 standard.
These allow us to display relevant ads based on your interests and measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. They are only activated if you accept advertising cookies. When artnexus runs advertising campaigns, we use Google Ads cookies via Google Tag Manager for remarketing and conversion measurement. Data is transferred to Google LLC (USA) and cookies are valid for up to 540 days. If you reject these cookies, no advertising tracking of any kind will take place and no cookie of this category will be installed on your device.
You can review and change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking "Manage cookies" in the footer of any section of the site. The change takes effect immediately: if you withdraw consent, analytics and advertising cookies will no longer be installed on subsequent visits. To permanently revoke consent already given to Google Analytics, you can install the opt-out add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Please note that technical and functional cookies cannot be disabled from this panel, as they are necessary for the site to function.
Regardless of your preferences on artnexus, you can configure your browser to block or delete all cookies. In Google Chrome go to Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and other site data. In Mozilla Firefox go to Options, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data. In Safari open Preferences, select Privacy and click Manage Website Data. In Microsoft Edge go to Settings, then Privacy, search, and services, then Cookies. Please be aware that blocking all cookies will prevent you from logging in, using the shopping cart and other essential features of the site.
We may update this cookie notice to reflect changes in the technologies we use, applicable legislation or our business activity. When we make significant changes, we will update the date at the bottom of this document. We recommend reviewing this page periodically. Continued use of the site after a new version is published implies acceptance of the changes with respect to technical cookies; for analytics and advertising cookies we will request your consent again if the changes require it.
