After creating the Fundación Lázaro Galdiano and adapting it as a museum the former residence of the donor (Florido Park, in the Salamanca district of Madrid), the collection was presented to the public on January 27, 1951. Since then its prestige among the connoisseurs has been widely spread, and its collection is considered indispensable to study many aspects of the History of Art, so they participate in exhibitions both Spanish and international.
