The Museo de Historia de Madrid, former Museo Municipal is located in the central district of the Spanish capital, Fuencarral Street. It occupies the building of the Real Hospicio de San Fernando, built in the 18th century by the architect Pedro de Ribera in Baroque style. The main cover is considered one of the most representative works of Spanish civil baroque.
