
Located in the east wing of the Palais de Tokyo, built for the 1937 Paris International Exhibition. The museum was inaugurated in 1961. The museum's collections comprise more than 8000 works showing different twentieth-century art trends. Highlights include exhibitions on the main movements and artists of the 20th-century European scene, but also monographs and thematic exhibitions that exhibit the main tendencies of current art. Likewise, the museum houses temporary exhibitions every six weeks.
