Die Caricatura – Galerie für Komische Kunst organizes major exhibitions in a year, focusing on the field of comics, cartoons, comic drawings, and comic painting. It also provides a platform for readings and satirical stage programs. The exhibition is complemented by a shop and an adjoining bar.

Its successful exhibitions and events, the Kassel Caricature has created an important center of comic and satire in Germany. Already in its first year in 1987, it received the Prize of Culture of the city of Kassel.
