Fototeca de Cuba

Description

The Fototeca de Cuba is an institution attached to the National Council of Plastic Arts, belonging to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Cuba. The Fototeca de Cuba treasures important images from daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, and ferrotypes, to the most modern photographic prints in the nation. In its vaults, the iconographic memory of more than 150 years of Cuban photography is kept, with nearly 80,000 images in different photo-types, negatives, positives, etc., as well as a good collection of books, documents, and catalogs from Cuba and from other countries.
