The official inauguration of the Centro Cultural Correios took place in August of1993, with the World Philatelic Exhibition - Brasiliana 93. Since then, the Post Cultural Center has been marking the presence of the institution in the city with promotion of events in various areas such as theater, Video, music, plastic arts, cinema and other activities aimed at the integration of the population of Rio de Janeiro with various forms of artistic expression.
Its facilities, suitable for the accomplishment of diverse programming, occupy integrally the 3,480m2 of the area of the building.
