The town halls of Zumárraga and Urretxu in Spain announce the 23rd "Zumarraga-Urretxu" Painting Competition. The call is open to artists from any nationality. Participants are free to choose any theme, support, and technique to create their works. Candidates may participate with a maximum of three works, each not exceeding 130 × 97 cm (51.18 × 38.18 in.) in size. Additionally, the works may not be signed by the artist and must be marked on the back with a heading or phrase about the work. Likewise, applicants must include in a closed enveloped marked with the same heading or phrase the following information: full name, copy of his/her government-issued ID, and telephone number.
