Documentation Center

The artnexus Foundation's Documentation Center provides remote access to the bibliographic records of documents in our database through the SIABUC program, accessible from anywhere on the web.

The artnexus Foundation has a collection that includes books, magazines, brochures, catalogs, CDs and DVDs, available for consultation by the national and international artistic community. The Documentation Center is designed to meet the consultation and research needs of art, especially Latin American art, conducting guided research for art users. After thorough research, visits and inter-consultations were carried out to meet the needs of users and the design and implementation of the database acquired the license for the software called SIABUC, developed by the University of Colima (Mexico) and UNESCO, which allows performing the technical and administrative functions of documentation centers and/or libraries. Since September 2005, more than 500 records have been digitized, cataloged, captured and entered.

Seminario de preservación y conservación de material audiovisual y medios electrónicos

Vaga Roma En colaboración con la Alcaldía Mayor de Bogotá D.C., el Instituto Distrital de Apoyo Conservatorio, el Instituto Distrital de las Artes - IDARTES - y la Delegación Cultural del Banco de la República. En este seminario se desarrollan contenidos precisos sobre la conservación audiovisual, desde un punto de vista documental y pedagógico en temas como el video artístico el videoarte y las artes electrónicas. El seminario tuvo lugar del 31 de octubre al 2 de noviembre de 2011, en Bogotá D.C., Colombia.

Getty Foundation Redes Intelectuales: Arte y Política en América Latina

Por medio de una beca otorgada por la Getty Foundation en Los Ángeles, otorgó una beca Connecting Art Histories a la Fundación Art Nexus para el desarrollo del proyecto Redes Intelectuales: Arte y Política en América Latina. Redes Intelectuales es proyecto nace a raíz de un grupo de investigadores para estudiar, desde la perspectiva de la Historia del Arte, las relaciones entre arte y política en América Latina. La idea básica es plantear los cruces entre los mundos del arte y las plataformas de ideas en torno a los aspectos geopolíticos, epistémicos y estéticos del continente, de vital preocupación por el tema de la relación entre arte y política en la región.
