The call is open for submissions to the 18th edition of the Maniel Foundation's Painting Prize. Works by artists born after December 31st, 1979 will be accepted, regardless of their nationality or place of residence. Candidates must present a single, signed work, no larger than 150 X 150 centimeters and 20 kilograms in weight. Title, dimensions, and technique must be recorded in the registration form. The theme is free, as are the support and materials to be used. Works can be submitted framed or frameless, but in all cases without protective glass. Submissions will be accepted at the Maniel Foundation(Plaza Porta de la Mar, 6, 2º, 8ª, 46004 Valencia), Monday, June 1st through Friday, June 5th, 2015. Along with the submitted work artists must present a brief CV; the registration form and receipt, properly processed; a photocopy of their ID document; and a color photograph of the submitted work. There will be a single Prize of 3,000€, and 10 honorary mentions to be featured alongside the winner in the catalog that will be published later. The Prize is subject to the mandated taxes. The decision of the jury will be made pubic on Friday, June 12th via the Maniel Foundation's web page, and the awards ceremony will be held on June 25th, at 8:00 pm.
