The University of Murcia announces its 13th Painting Prize call. The call is open to individuals of any nationality, age, or gender.
The Prize will award a purse of 8,000.00 euros and a diploma to the winning participant. There will also be two Honourable Mentions.
No more than one work per candidate—never before awarded or presented in a previous competition—must be submitted between June 1 and June 12, of 2012. The works cannot be larger than 200 cm at their longest side, or smaller than 70 cm at their shorter side. In the instances that the work is made of several parts, the sum of its parts will be regarded as the total measurements. None of the works should be covered with glass.
The work will be presented duly framed and labeled on the back with its title and "XIII PREMIO DE PINTURA DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE MURCIA."
Additionally, the application form will be presented in a closed envelop that also contains the following papers: a copy of the national identity card, and a color photography of the work—labeled at the back with the title of the work and the title of the Prize. Any expenses arising from the mailing of the work—including the return of the work—are the responsibility of the candidates.
