XIII Bienal de Fotografía 2008 National Council for the Arts and Culture

The National Council for the Arts and Culture of Mexico calls photographers and other artists to participate in the XIII Bienale de Fotografía (XIII Photography Biennial). National and international artists wishing to participate must be able to prove they have resided in Mexico for at least two years. They must also complete the online application form available at the National Council for the Arts and Culture (CONACULTA, its Spanish acronym) and submit all required materials before Friday, August 29, 2008. Each participant may submit one work created between 2006 and 2007, along with a CD with PDF files containing the completed application form, the artist¿s resume, and the digital images, as well as another CD with high-resolution digital images of the work not larger than 4 MB per image. These disks must have the information identifying the work directly written on them with a marker, without the use of any labels. A plan must be included with any three-dimensional images. Materials must be sent to: Concurso XIII Bienal de fotografía, 2008, Centro de la Imagen, Plaza de la Ciudadela 2, Centro Histórico, 06040. México, D.F. The Centro de la Imagen will announce the artists and photographers selected beginning on September 26. The final decision on the winning works will be determined by November 28, 2008, and the exhibit of the works will take place from February 17 to May 17, 2009.
