XII Premio Fundación Telefónica a la Investigación en Historia delas Artes Plásticas (XII Telefónica Foundation Prize for Fine Arts History Research) 2008

The Espigas Foundation and its Fund for Argentinean Art Research (FIAAR, its acronym in Spanish) has issued a call to Argentine researchers and research groups, Argentinean born or naturalized Argentines, and foreigners with fewer than five years of residence in Argentina, to compete in the XII Telefónica Foundation Prize for Fine Arts History Research. None of the participating works must have previously been published. Both published and unpublished authors may apply. The works should focus on ¿Art, Technology and Mass Media in Argentina from the Twentieth Century to Date¿. Contestants may choose any topic as long as it falls within the designated time period. The works must be written in Spanish on letter-size or A-4 Iram paper, typewritten or computer-printed, double-spaced, and using only one side of the paper. Participants must submit 3 copies of their work, minimum 75,000 characters including spaces and notes, and maximum, no 160,000 characters including spaces and notes. Neither the acknowledgments nor the two extra copies will be counted toward determining the work¿s length. The first prize includes a certificate, a medal, and $5,000 Argentine pesos (approx. $1,650 USD). The second prize consists of a certificate, a medal, and $ 1,000 Argentine pesos (approx. $330 USD). The jury panel will also grant three honorable mentions. If the winning prize is awarded to a team, the prize will be divided among members of this team.
