11th International Call for Young Artists

The call is now open for national and international young artists (between the ages of 24 and 36). These must be professional artists maturing their discourse and their approaches, and must possess abilities and knowledge that will allow them to develop their projects with clarity and consistency. The Gallery¿s objective is to establish a real nexus with what young artists are developing at the international level. The aim is also to offer them the possibility of presenting their proposals in a professional context that permits and encourages the foundation of a long-term close relationship with the gallery. Proposals will be accepted from April 1 to May 15 of 2009. Participants must present a portfolio (A4 size) of recent works, or a CD with jpeg or pdf images that can be viewed on a screen. If necessary, participants may also include a DVD, an updated printed résumé and the application form filled out correctly. Neither actual works nor unsolicited additional materials will be accepted. The CD must be labeled with the artist¿s name. Adhesives or paper can not be placed on top of the CD in order to avoid failures when trying to read the disk. Images will be evaluated on a screen (MAC or PC) so they do not need to be saved in high-resolutions. The artists selected will participate in an exhibition that will be held at the gallery during summer of 2009. Participants must apply to the Luis Adelantado Gallery. C/ Bonaire 6. 46003 Valencia.
