11th International Engraving Biennial Caixanova 2010

The call is now open for the submission of works for participation in the 11th International Engraving Biennial Caixanova. This is one of the oldest and most prestigious competitions in the world of engraving, and for this issue, it offers 16,500.00 Euros in prizes. The deadline to submit all works is June 30, 2010. A jury panel of art experts will be in charge of selecting the winning works, will select those that will appear in the catalog, and will decide on those that will be included in the Caixanova Collection and participate in future exhibitions. The First Prize winner will receive a gold medal and an award of 9,000.00 Euros, the Second Prize will be awarded a silver medal and a sum of 3,000.00 Euros, and the Third Prize will be given a bronze medal and 1,500.00 Euros. Five Honorary Mentions will also be awarded, each for 6,000 Euros. Each engraver will enter no more than two original and unpublished works, unframed and never before presented in any other contest. The size of the paper cannot be smaller than 50 cm at any of its sides, nor can it be larger than 70 × 100 cm. The works must be accompanied by a complete information card and the artist¿s personal information, as well as a copy of his/her ID, a CV, contact information, date, and signature. The works that are not selected will be returned between November 2010 and March 2011. The award ceremony will take place in December 2010 or January 2011 to mark the opening of the exhibition.
