This call for participation in a visual arts exhibition, inspired by the idea of change, is focused on emerging artists from Latin America and the Caribbean working in any artistic discipline. This project is sponsored by the World Bank¿s Vice-presidency for Latin America and the Caribbean, the World Bank Art Program in conjunction with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Art Museum of the Americas of the Organization of American States (OAS), and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat. The deadline for receiving all submissions is April 30, 2010*. The artists selected will be notified by the end of May 2010. In recognition of the importance of art and culture for social cohesion and economic development, the World Bank Art Program promotes emerging visual artists from around the globe. *This deadline does not apply to Haitian artists affected by the January 2010 earthquake. An exhibition dedicated to Haitian artists based in Haiti is planned for 2012. For more information, visit:
