Wilson Diaz. Taste and Conflict, Reasons to Collect. Museo La Tertulia

The Museo La Tertulia presents the anthological exhibition "Wilson Díaz. Gusto y conflicto, motivos para coleccionar," on the artistic career of Wilson Díaz (Pitalito, 1963), which brings together for the first time in Cali his artistic production since 1988.
The works included in this exhibition are gestures to appropriation and collecting, commenting on diverse themes ranging from autobiographical, through popular culture and advertising, to issues related to the economy, politics, and even art and the cultural industry in Colombia.
Wilson Diaz has an artistic trajectory of more than thirty years in which he has approached diverse languages such as painting, performance, photography, video, text, and installation, among others. Díaz studied Industrial Design and Fine Arts at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá. His works have been exhibited and recognized in various national and international art scenes. He currently lives in Cali.
Curated by the TransHisTor(ia) Team, formed by art history professors and researchers Camilo Ordoñez Robayo and María Sol Barón Pino. The curatorial discourse is a new version of the exhibition "Con Wilson...dos décadas vulnerables locales y visuales" presented in 2014 at the Galería Santa Fe in Bogotá.
The exhibition will be on view until February 20, 2022, from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
