Virginia Errázuriz. Ejercicios de objetualidad y espacio (Virginia Errázuriz. Exercises in Objecthood and Space)

The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de la Universidad de Chile is presenting the exhibition Virginia Errázuriz. Ejercicios de objetualidad y espacio (Virginia Errázuriz. Exercises in Objecthood and Space). The show brings together graphic, textile, installation, and object-based works, along with archival material documenting her participation in the Visual Arts Workshop (TAV) during the dictatorship, donated by artist Elías Adasme.
The curatorial project was developed by eight students and one teaching assistant from the Curatorship course of the Bachelor’s in Art with a specialization in Theory and Art History, under the guidance of academic Paz López. For its preparation, they worked with Errázuriz’s artistic and documentary archive as well as pieces from the MAC collection, in collaboration with different areas of the museum.
This initiative is part of the collaboration between MAC and the Department of Art Theory of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Chile. It is the second project of its kind, following the exhibition Guillermo Pop: Colores de una utopía (Guillermo Pop: Colors of a Utopia) held in 2024 at MAC Quinta Normal.
The exhibition will remain open to the public until December 7, 2025.
