The Galería de Arte Móvil Kunza proposes artistic interventions of urban spaces not recognized within a typical context. It proposes the exhibition of visual works in places within the Fourth Coquimbo Region in Chile. The central idea behind such actions is to establish a "direct dialogue" and a "dialogue direct" between the community and contemporary art.
Thus, the Galería de Arte Móvil Kunza invites all national and international artists living in Chile or abroad to participate in this call based on audiovisual languages and mediums by presenting artistic works centered on the theme "Gazes of the Surroundings," in connection with Chile and the people that inhabit this Southernmost Latin American nation.
The works selected will be exhibited in popular areas of the Coquimbo Region, specifically in neighborhood soccer fields in communities located in Coquimbo, La Serena and Ovalle.
The works selected will be entrusted to visual artist Marcelo Faúndez (Universidad de Chile) and María José Ramírez, art theoretician (Universidad de Chile).
Proposals must meet the following requirements: - To submit only one work per author - All works must be done in Spanish or include Spanish subtitles if created in any other language. - Proposals cannot be more than 10 minutes long.
All visual works must be sent to kunzagaleria@gmail.com in .mov or .avi formats, and must include the following information: title of the work, author's full name, technique used, duration, the date it was created, nationality, email address and Website.
The deadline to receive all proposals is June 30, 2014.
