Vida 12.0, Proyectos Finalizados (Vida 12.0, Finished Projects)

VIDA 12.0 is directed to artists whose work is developed through Artificial Life technologies and related disciplines, such as robotics, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology. Sponsored by the Telefónica Foundation, is open to artists of any nationality with projects created after September 2007. To participate, applicants must send a 5 to10 minutes long professional-quality CD or DVD video presentation that contains a voice-over and its transcript (in a Word document) explaining in English or Spanish the artistic concept and the technological aspects of the project submitted. The name of the applicant, or applicants, as well as the title of the project must be included on the cover of the CD or DVD. Applicants must also include in the CD or DVD five high-resolution images of the project. The CD or DVD must be sent together with the filled-out application form and the other required materials no later than October 1, 2009, to any of the Telefónica Foundation head offices in Spain, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, and Mexico. The First Prize winner will receive a purse of 18,000.00 Euros. The winner of the Second Prize will receive 14,000.00 Euros, and the winner of the Third Prize will be awarded 8,000.00 Euros. Likewise, the winning projects may be exhibited at the Telefónica Foundation Virtual Gallery and in the exhibitions on art and new technologies that the Foundation may organize or in which it may participate.
