Solid sales and positive energy at Canada¿s Art Fair Art Toronto 2008

Despite gloomy headlines of economic dark clouds the 9th annual Toronto International Art Fair once again surpassed all expectations with great energy, solid sales and steady crowds. Art Toronto 2008 launched with a record number of 2,000 attendees at the benefit preview. This popular event delivered a well-heeled group of collectors quick to snatch up contemporary and modern works. The Art Gallery of Ontario purchased three pieces for their new contemporary collection, setting a positive pace for the remainder of the fair.
