The V International Painting Prize Contest organized by the Castellón County Council is now accepting applications. This contest centers on painting and its application in conjunction with other techniques such as photography, video, installation, sculpture, or new technologies. Artist of any age, nationality, or place of residence are welcome to participate. Each artist may register online on the event¿s home page (certamenpintura.dipcas.es/en) and may submit only one work on any subject no larger than 2 meters on any of its sides, before September 15, 2008. The works selected by the jury panel must be sent to the ¿Museu de Belles Arts de Castelló¿ located at Avenida Hermanos Bou No. 28, 12003 Castellón de la Plana, Spain. The work received must include the application form, a brief resume of the author, a photograph of the work, and a photocopy of the artist¿s ID card. A sole prize of 60,000 Euros will be awarded to the winner of this competition. The works selected will be exhibited from November to December, 2008.
