The 31st edition of the Pontevedra Biennial, dedicated to Central America and The Caribbean, assumes a model that will be giving priority to informative and educational tools, with the intention of providing a framework approach towards the cultural contemporary reality of the region, acting as a multidisciplinary tool for knowledge. The biennale opens June 4th and could be visit until September 12 at the Museum of Pontevedra The Biennial, titled UT(R)OPICOS, searches to establish a different view on artistic and cultural creation that breaks through the topics that have been driving this part of the world. The title gathers, in a single enunciation, the concepts of Utopia and the Tropics, with the goal of modulating the connection between the geography that history has linked to the paradisiacal and the projects of transformation, emancipation and modernity generated from there.
