The residents of the Colombian capital now have a new space to see art. It is located inside the tunnel of the Ricaurte Station and was inaugurated during the month of July of this year. The space in question is the first underground art gallery within the TransMilenio mass-transit system of Bogotá. The exhibitions in the Station will be on display for a period of thirty days and will include works by prominent Colombian artists. The first exhibit presents works by Nadin Ospina, Ana Mercedes Hoyos, and Carlos Jacanamijoy. Capital-city inhabitants will also be able to find other traveling exhibitions at fifty other stations and seven portals within the TransMilenio system. The central goal is to generate cultural encounters in these transited spaces. This initiative is sponsored by Unilever with the support of Publimilenio y TransMilenio, S.A.
