The Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation announced the second edition of The Pérez CreARTE Grants Program (CreARTE). First established in 2019, the program is dedicated to identifying and supporting exemplary cultural organizations that seek to cultivate a vibrant, connected and culturally stimulating ecosystem in Greater Miami. The CreARTE initiative will disperse upwards of $1.5 million across three focus areas: Arts Access, Arts Education and Artists Fellowships and Residencies. Applications were open on Monday, April 26, with finalists announced late fall.
"Art is a powerful tool—it is often the lens through which we communicate emotions or ideas, and it further informs our city’s development, both economically and culturally,” said Jorge M. Pérez, founder of the Pérez Family Foundation and nationally recognized philanthropist.
This year’s CreARTE grants will focus on empowering local non-profit organizations to embrace artistic risk-taking, expand the diversity of creative experiences on offer and present work that inspires the community. Grants will range up to $250,000 for two years, and will support programmatic, capital, or operational opportunities.
“Miami is a hub for artistic excellence, and CreARTE brings fuel exactly where it is needed most,” said Rebecca Fishman Lipsey, president and CEO of The Miami Foundation. “We are proud to house CreARTE and work hand in hand with the Pérez Family Foundation to amplify their tremendous philanthropy and increase equity and opportunity through the arts.”
All interested applicants should direct their inquiries to Lindsey Linzer, Managing Director of Community Investments at LLinzer@miamifoundation.org and Belissa Alvarez, Director of The Jorge M.
