Third edition 2020-2021 of RefugiArte

The UN Refugee Agency, UNHCR, opens the call and invites artists, illustrators, and cartoonists from Latin America and the Caribbean.
RefugiArte is an exhibition that seeks to create awareness, through art, about the protection needed by refugees and internally displaced people and promoting inclusion and solidarity.
In this new edition, the agency calls for artists' voluntary participation to represent the complex dynamics and the growing displacement in the Latin American continent.
The call for national and/or resident artists in Latin America and the Caribbean will be open from September 11 to October 15, 2020. A jury made up of specialists in the arts, displaced or refugee people, and UNHCR staff will evaluate the works and carry out the selection of 16 illustrations that will be part of the 2020-2021 edition of RefugiArte.
The official selection will be announced on November 2, 2020, through the agency's social media. It will also have a special section on the website. Participants must be over 18 years old or have permission signed by at least one of the parents or guardians in case of being a minor. Latin American refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced persons, people at risk of displacement, and migrants anywhere in the world are specially invited to participate. Participation must be individual, as groups are not allowed.
