Third MAMBO Award for Philanthropy in the Arts

In December, the third MAMBO Award was granted to Dr. José Alejandro Cortés. The MAMBO Award for Philanthropy in the Arts was created by the Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá to recognize the merit and trajectory of those who have dedicated their efforts to benefit the country's cultural development. The first Award was presented in 2018, during the 55th anniversary of the Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá, honoring Lilly Scarpetta. In 2019, the Museum granted it to Andrés Uribe Crane Award.

Claudia Hakim, director of MAMBO, mentioned, "We pay this tribute for his invaluable cultural work, fundamental to recognize the work of Colombian artists and preserve their legacy." She added: "We are honored by the presence of friends of the Museum, who have been essential to the development of our work, promoting art and culture.
