Are you interested in naming fear? Participate in Matadero's call
From July 1 to September 5, submit to the call “Los nombres del miedo”
for the program Matadero Estudios Críticos by Matadero in Madrid, Spain.
"The names of fear" is a program of lectures, conversations, and artists' workshops. A meeting space to address the ways of naming fear from different perspectives, enabling recognition and resignification as a collective exercise. Call for artistic and research projects aimed at theoretical reflection and the presentation of artistic projects. The selected works will be part of the contents of the seminars and activities of the program.
The first seminar will take place on October 21, 22, and 23, including Remedios Zafra, Nancy Garin, Mario Buletic, Las Tesis, Costa Badia, among other guests. As a second part of the program, a seminar will take place on November 18, 19, and 20, 2021, with the projects and communications selected in this call. Thus, the proposed space is a meeting place to think about ways of naming and renaming fear from critical positions, enabling an exercise of both diagnosis and collective reappropriation.
Practical aspects:
Nine articles or projects will be selected among those submitted to the call and made public from September 15, 2021, on the website intermediae.es.

Conditions of participation:
The second part of the seminar, which will take place on November 18, 19, and 20, 2021, consists of the essays and projects selected in this call.
Those whose essays or projects have been selected will receive a remuneration of 500 euros (taxes not included) to carry out the public presentation scheduled for the dates of November 2021, to which will be added travel and accommodation expenses if those selected do not live in Madrid.
