Tatiana Flores

Art Nexus editorial coordinator for New York exhibitions,Tatiana Flores has been promoted to Associate Professor at the Rutgers Institution in The State University of New Jersey where she was recently appointed Executive and Academic Director of the Institute for Women and Art.

Flores has also published the book Mexico¹s Revolutionary Avant-Gardes: From Estridentismo to ¡30-30! from Yale University Press. The study offers a cross-disciplinary account of the early-20th-century moment that came to be known as the Mexican Renaissance through analysis of two interrelated avant-garde movements: Estridentismo and ¡30-30!. Focusing on the interrelationship between art and literature, she illuminates the complexities of post-revolutionary Mexican art at a time when it was torn between formal innovation and social relevance.
