Silent Auction - Solidarte 2010

The Solidarte exhibition/Silent Auction will be open to the public through next March 15th, 2010, at the El Museo gallery in Bogotá. This show brings together 29 masters whose names are already written in the history of Colombian art. SolidArte 2010 has been organized in benefit of the Francia Solidaridad Foundation in Colombia, to raise funds for the sustenance of impoverished Colombian youths throughout their high school or higher education, and is supported by the French Embassy in Colombia and by the participating artists, who donate part of their work towards that objective. The exhibition includes works by Jim Amaral, Olga de Amaral, Álvaro Barrios, Fernando Botero, Feliza Bursztyn, Luis Caballero, Santiago Cárdenas, Antonio Caro, Leonel Góngora, Beatriz González, Enrique Grau, Manuel Hernández, Ana Mercedes Hoyos, María de la Paz Jaramillo, David Manzur, Darío Morales, Oscar Muñoz, Edgar Negret, Alejandro Obregón, Luis Fernando Peláez, Eduardo Ramirez Villamizar, Carlos Rojas, Miguel Ángel Rojas, Bernardo Salcedo, Fanny Sanin, Manolo Vellojín, and Hugo Zapata.
