Sixth Memorial for Philosophical Reflections

On April 15, The Chilean artist Cecilia Vicuña installed the intervention "Memorial for Philosophical Reflections." A related video was published within the project; in it, the artist explained the origin of the poetry selected. https://memorialreflexionesfilosoficas.wordpress.com/
"The human from humanize
In his humid humility."
Human comes from humus: Earth.
Cecilia Vicuña detailed, "I don't remember exactly when I wrote those words, but I imagine I performed them in 1998, that was the year I started doing my decloud net performances. The image of a cloud, of a weaving cloud, protecting Earth from global warming."
"Memorial for philosophical reflections" is a project curated by Adriana Gallo and Ricardo Lazarini, as a collective intervention on a small memorial abandoned in a public square on the Rambla of Montevideo.
"After going through this place daily and finding this abandoned space, although excellently located in a magnificent setting facing the sea. I had the idea of taking the place for each month to install a philosophical reflection there, of people from different areas of activity (art, philosophy, science, teaching, etc.), that want to share a thought from the process of creation or on reflection in their activity. This phrase will be installed on a plaque on the wall of the memorial without giving it any other context than that existing in the square. We will only change the author's name and thought, month by month. We will do it that way because we trust the energy of those words, words with their own weight, that are committed to the passion and ideas of what is imminent in creation. The objective is to transmit to those who transit through this space daily the contained energy of those words holding passion and commitment. It is a poetic reflection on language, words and communication. The word installed in the open space is a liberating symbol of thought." Ricardo Lazarini explained.
