After nearly eight years as director, Sebastián López leaves the Gate Foundation to work as the director of a new office of the collection Daros-Latin America (Zurich, Switzerland) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. During his work at the gate Foundation, López developed a wide program in which many leading artists of world Contemporary art were present. Most outstanding in his work as curator are the individual shows of Meschac Gaba, Gillion Grantsaan, and the introduction of artists like Priscila Monge and Karla Solano (Costa Rica), Yang Fudong (China), Liliana Porter (Argentina-United States) and Keith Piper (United Kingdom) among others.
