The programming for the first space devoted to Latin American photography is announced

In March, Fototeca Latinoamericana (FoLa), the first space devoted exclusively to historical and contemporary Latin American photography, announced its programming for 2016. The program will feature exhibitions, discussions workshops, and activities for audiences to enjoy and reflect on the many facets of photographic practice. From March 10th through June 12th, FoLa will present an exhibition titled Machu Picchu. Incas y Fotógrafos, with images by Hiram Bingham, Edward Ranney, Martín Chambi, and Javier Silva, four key photographers in the construction our the collective imagination of one of the world's most widely photographed architectural complexes. Presented in parallel, the exhibition Destiempos, with works by Eduardo Longoni, will be on view through May 1st at Sala Tres. This exhibition features images that resulted from the photographer's journeys across the country, focused on capturing and reflecting about the different forms that time takes.
