The Galería Ruth Benzacar, in Buenos Aires, has moved to a new space in Calle Velazco 1287, between Darwin and the railroad San Martin. The new project is located in a warehouse built in the middle of the last century and was chosen by the gallery to take advantage of the existing structures. The central architectural decision is based on the construction of a room in the warehouse. It is from this determination that the various spaces that are part of the functional needs of the gallery were conceived and organized. The gallery continues to be directed by Orly Benzacar, who has been at its helm since 2000, and by her daughter Mora Bacal. Both were in charge of coordinating the establishment of the new place. The gallery reaffirms an interest in preserving the history and cultural heritage that it has fostered as an institution, as well as the interest of maintaining its connection to the present.
