From October 25, 2016 to January 21, 2017, Proyecto AMIL and the Museo de Arte de Lima presents for the very first time in Latin America a two-part exhibition by US artist Richard Tuttle (Rahway, New Jersey, 1941). Regarded as a post-minimalist artist known for subtle and intimate works, Tuttle has been a very influential figure in the international contemporary art scene for over 40 years. Through the use of everyday materials like wood, paper, wire, cord, and fabric, Tuttle creates sophisticated and poetic construction that escape any historic or stylistic classification. Both titled The Night Sky of Lima, the exhibitions have been organized in close collaboration with the artist and will be presented at the same time. They will include a selection of works ranging from pieces produced as early as 1970 to new works inspired by his recent experience in Peru.
