Florae Magazine

The FLORA ars+natura Foundation, in its sustained effort to strengthen the contemporary art scene, recently launched its Florae magazine. Few contemporary art publications exist in Colombia, and even less that respond to specific interests. Florae comes into being intent on covering issues of environmentalism, sustainability, and territory from an art-based perspective and in response to FLORA's need to provide a broad reflection on topics connected to the exhibitions, residencies, and artists involved in processes and projects that take place in the foundation's spaces. The magazine, which will be published yearly, will feature critical and literary texts, archival material, records of artistic processes, chronicles, interview, documents, and facsimiles related to exhibitions and residencies held during FLORA ars+natura's first two years. The magazine is intended for art, humanities, and natural sciences students, as well as for the arts community, teachers, critics, theorists, and researchers interested on debates around the relationship between art and nature.
