The UN, RAUN Artist Residency Program announces the opening of the 2015 call for artists. The central goal of the call is promoting exchange, strengthening artistic projects and encouraging dialogue between artists, graduate students and professors at the Art Department of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and the international community. In last year's edition of the call, residencies were granted to ten international artists who were under the coordination of the Art Department's graduate programs. In addition to the development of their artistic projects, the artists also participated in presentations directed to the entire student body of the university. Likewise, the event chose three teachers who benefited from this program through residencies in Germany and Italy. In an attempt to diversify and encourage creation and academic reflection through the concept of artistic residency, the call invites candidates to participate in one of the three modalities offered by the RAUN Program: First Modality: International Artists. Conceived for international artists wishing to develop an art project at the UN headquarters in Bogota, where the chosen candidate will interact with students and teachers of the graduate program hosting the residency or research and extension section. Second Modality: Teacher-Artists: A modality for teacher-artists working at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia who wish to develop an artistic project abroad. Third Modality: Graduate or Doctoral Students: A modality offered to students in the graduate or doctoral programs at the UN who wish to develop an art project abroad associated with their degree work. The deadline to enter applications is August 30, 2015. To learn about all the requirements of the call visit:
