Artist Residencies in Central America and the Caribbean

Among the strategic objectives of the Cultural Centers of Spain (CCE) in Central America and the Caribbean (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, and Dominican Republic) are strengthening contemporary artistic creation and production and promoting the mobility of cultural actors in the region. In this context, they propose a group of artist residencies designed to train, professionalize, and strengthen the relationship between creators from different countries, through a network of exchanges between art professionals that further develop the artistic space in Central America and the Caribbean, weaving community connections and projects. The goal is to foster the creation of networks centered on a multidisciplinary perspective of experimentation with creative processes that encourage participation and a continuous flow of dialogs between creators and researchers and that also generate spaces for the public's participation. Depending on each CCE, the call for each artist residency has a different deadline and duration.
