Residency at Tabakalera
The Tabakalera invites you to participate in the "Residency for the development of artistic projects 2021", aiming to support the development of artistic projects in any format regardless of the artistic discipline. It also seeks to strengthen the local networking and promote exchange between artistic communities.
The call is open to all individuals or legal entities, both national and international, who wish to develop projects in contemporary art, either partially or exclusively, either because they are already working in this field or because they want to start a professional career in this sector.
Likewise, several individuals or legal entities may apply jointly, without the need to formalize any relationship between them.
The residency, which will last between four and eight weeks, will offer space, context, and time to develop the artistic project. It will take place after requested between October 1 to December 20, 2021.
Registration must be made through the Tabakalera website until May 13, 2021.
Notification of the resolution: June 30, 2021.
The residency will take place at Tabakalera's facilities in San Sebastian. The program includes:
-Travel and accommodation. If the candidate does not reside in the Basque Autonomous Community, a round trip and double room for single use with bathroom, a small work area, and WIFI (shared access to kitchen and living room). Suppose the candidate resides in the Basque Autonomous Community, outside San Sebastian or its surroundings. In that case, he/she may benefit from an accommodation of the same characteristics or a grant of up to 500 euros per month of residence for transportation.
-1000 euros (gross) per month of residence, in the concept of (food) and maintenance, will be delivered through a nominative check.
-Medical insurance during the residency period in case the resident does not reside in Europe.
-Work studio in the Tabakalera production space, equipped with basic furniture, electrical outlet, and lighting.
-Access to the office and common areas.
-Access to Tabakalera's specialized creation library.
-Access to image and sound editing studios, set or space for stage proposals.
-Technical resources and assistance from the Tabakalera team, according to needs and availability.
-Allocation of additional financial assistance, up to a maximum of 2,500 euros, upon presentation of a budget and approval by Tabakalera, covers small expenses related to the production process, which will not cover the acquisition of technological equipment.
-Accompaniment by the Tabakalera team.
