ATALAIA (the Association of Friends for Culture and the Arts), jointly with the City of Ourique, the Regional Directorate of Culture in Alentejo, the Department of Fine Arts of the Universidad de Lisboa and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Universidad de Algarve, announce the call for participation in their residency open to all contemporary performing art creators and students. The deadline for submitting all applications is April 11 2014. The projects will be developed between May 1 and September 30 of 2014. The goal is to turn the periods of creative residency into spaces forexchange of knowledge and ideas with other operators and cultural communities. Participants will have the opportunity to show their work to the public from October 1 through October 15. The grant will cover lodging, meals during the residency period, the presentation of the project to the public, technical and logistic resources, the initial follow-up in contact with the community, the visit to the county of Ourique, communication and the publication of promotional material.
