The call for participation in the Fifth edition of the International Festival of Video Art is directed to artists of any nationality who are over the age of 18. Each artist or art group may present no more than two works. Video installations or any other artworks created before 2012 will not be accepted. Candidates may submit their works in one of the following formats: DVD, AVI, MOV, MP4 or MPEG. It is recommended that the material does not exceed the 20 minute mark. Candidates may choose any theme. Works already presented in earlier editions of FIVA will not be accepted. Every work must be in Spanish or include Spanish subtitles. All works must include the completed and signed application form, the candidate's CV, a brief description of the work and a still of the video. All the digital works will become part of the archives of the Festival and will be presented in non-commercial cultural presentations that are part of the event. The jury will be formed by Nekane Aramburu (Spain), Brian Mackern (Uruguay) and Carlos Trilnick (Argentina). The works can be submitted online—through a download link—by mail or in person, no later than August 2 of 2015. Submissions entered after the due date will not be accepted (if sent by mail, the postmarked date will serve as reference). The works submitted to the festival will not be returned to their authors. The works selected will be announced to their authors by email and at the homepage of the festival. More information and the complete rules are available at:
