Promotora Arte

Promotora Arte was created as a space to promote contemporary artistic production and to generate reflection about such endeavor. The opening of this new venue is the result of a year of work by Ignacio Orozco, who spent that time putting together a team to run a gallery that aims at being a space open to the public. To inaugurate the space, Promotora Arte presents the collective exhibition This is About Nothing. It includes works by 11 contemporary creators, each displaying different approaches, techniques, and supports: Claudia Cisneros, Edgar Cobián, Mónica Escutia, Cristian Franco, Cynthia Gutiérrez, Gonzalo Lebrija, Daniel Monroy, Pablo Rasgado, Emanuel Tovar, Antonio Tun Naal, and Rubén Méndez. The Director of the space, Ignacio Orozco, is trying to generate a project that promotes the development of the artists that join Promotora de Arte. The goal is to project these artists locally, nationally and then internationally so they can eventually exhibit abroad in galleries, art fairs, and museums.
