The call for the third edition of the Young Curators Program will remain open until February 27. Organized by the arteBA Fundación, the program aims at encouraging and promoting the work of young Argentine curators. It offers the development and exhibition of the winning curatorial project in a 100 square meter (1,076 square feet) space during the 2015 edition of arteBA art fair held in Buenos Aires from June 4 through June 7. The evaluation of the proposals and selection of the winner will be entrusted to a curatorial team formed by: Alejandra Aguado, co-director of Móvil and curator at the Museo de Arte de Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Alessio Antoniolli, director of Gasworks and Triangle Network, UK. They will also advise the winning young curator during the development of his/her curatorial project. Who can apply: -The call is open to young curators from Argentina and abroad who currently reside in Argentina and are able to submit to the arteBa Fundación documentation deemed to be appropriate proof of residence. Proposals: -Must be emailed to jovescuradores@arteba.org along with all required paperwork. -Candidates may submit previously conceived curatorial projects that have not yet been exhibited or that offer a different curatorial approach -The context of the art fair in which the project is to be presented must be considered. -Must include the following; curatorial concept, exhibition design, presentation of the artists and works that will be part of the exhibition, CV of the curator and of the artists, and a chronogram of the development of the project. The Winner: -The curator selected as the winner of the Program will receive a lump sum of 8,000 (eight thousand) Argentine pesos for the development of the project. This amount must be properly administered by the winner to cover all costs associated with the proposal, such as: the salary of the (winning) curator and of the artists included in his/her proposal, art transportation and insurance costs, and costs for mounting the exhibition in arteBA 2015, among others. -In addition, arteBA Fundación will cover the general lighting of the exhibition space and the personal accident insurance or ART for the (winning) curator and the participating artists, during the mounting of the exhibition. -The winner must attend the follow-up curatorial meetings for the development and execution of the proposal, scheduled with the Curatorial Team between March and June of 2015; and he/she must collaborate with them and the arteBA Fundación in all aspects required for the completion of his/her proposal in the Fair.
