´ace announces the 2015 edition of the International Artistic Residency Program (PIRAR, by its Spanish Acronym). The call is open to emerging and professional artists from Argentina (locals and from the rest of the country) and abroad, trained in any visual arts discipline, who wish to take advantage of the resources of the library, a private studio or a residency in the city, in order to develop research or experimental curatorial proposals. The artists in residence are selected through open calls based on the submitted projects through open calls. ´ace favors proposals that question the singular art object and that experiment with the ability to produce proposals that rely on multiple graphic techniques, photography, new digital media and/or design—by exploring their interferences and erasing their boundaries—as well as proposals that use those visual languages to intervene the urban environment. ´ace offers two types of residences: Residencies paid through tuition fees and residencies that are subsidized. Being in an ´ace residency means being exposed to collaborative work, having access to professional advice, exchanging ideas and experiences with other artists and stablishing a relationship with the local community, as participants immerse themselves in the rhythm of one of the most vibrant cities in Latin America, a cultural power of the region. The ´acePIRAR program is part of ResArtis, an international network of non-profit venues that offer artistic residencies and online residencies (Ibero America). It is an Ibero American platform of spaces for the research, production and exhibition of art and contemporary culture that are connected for the most part through its program or residencies.
