Intent on supporting artists and incentivizing artistic production, the Fenosa Natural gas Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) has opened, as part of its Cultural Promotion and Cooperation Plan, a selection process for three local residences (for Galician residents) and two international residences (Latin American, Spanish and Portuguese citizens not living in Galicia), for the development of a specific project. These programs are a decided gambit on MAC's part in favor of research, innovation, and the value of the creative processes, bringing together professionals from different origins and reasserting its intention of becoming a trans-disciplinary, dynamic work space, open to any initiative where the dialog, exchange, and collaboration between the local and the global are foundational principles. Each residence will last for two months, between October 15th and December 15th, 2014. MAC offers a total stipend of 3.900€ for international residents and 1.600€ for local residents, subject to the established taxation.
