La Nueva Fábrica, a contemporary art space in Antigua Guatemala, announces its international call for applications for the 2026–2027 Residency Program.
This program invites artists, curators, and visual arts professionals from around the world to experience research, creation, and dialogue in Guatemala, connecting with the artistic community and the local context.
• Application deadline: October 31, 2025
• Duration of the residency: 4 to 8 weeks, between September 2026 and June 2027
• Benefits: stipend of USD $2,000, accommodation at LNF, airport transfers, and curatorial and logistical support
Since 2013, the residency program has been at the heart of LNF.
The residency is:
– Research-based, not production-based – there is no requirement to present a final work.
– Open to all artistic media and backgrounds.
– A space for reflection, research, sharing, and connecting between practices and communities.
– Designed to encourage exchange with the local context: residents are welcome to participate in LNF's public programs, open studios, and community activities.
Each year, La Nueva Fábrica selects five residents through this international call for applications.
