Ibermuseos invites professionals working in Ibero-American museums to participate in the Ibermuseos Training Grants Program. In this first edition the grants will be awarded to individuals who work in areas associated with the organization and management of collections—conservation, restoration, or curatorships—for museum or government institutions responsible for establishing public policies for museums in any of the twelve countries that participate in the Ibermuseos Program (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Spain, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, and Uruguay). The purpose of the grants is to fund training activities like short-term courses, seminars, congresses, and workshops centered on themes associated with the preventive conservation, risk management, and emergency response undertaken by government institutions responsible for public policies for museums in the twenty-two countries that are part of Ibero-America. To apply for the grants, candidates must first look for the training that they are interested in, apply and/or register for the training, and be accepted by the institution that organizes it. Lastly, they must meet the requirements detailed in the rules of the Ibermuseos Training Grant Program. The grants will cover the following expenses: registration fee for the training activity and, if needed: airplane, train or bus tickets—depending on where the activity takes place—public transportation between airport, hotel, and the place of the activity; travel insurance, lodging, and food. At the end of the training activity, participants must develop a project that applies the acquired knowledge in the institution in which he/she works. The projects must be submitted along with the application. It will be reviewed for approval by the Advisory Panel of the Ibermuseos Training Grants Program (along with the rest of the paperwork required). The registration form and the project application form can be downloaded at the Ibermuseos homepage, in the calls section. The call will remain open for the duration of 2016 or until the available resources run out. Registration must occur at least sixty days before the beginning of the chosen training activity. Candidates must learn and accept the rules of the completion entering their application at:
