Until June 26th, the call for the National Culture Awards Universidad de Antioquia is open for its 52nd edition.
The Awards are a recognition of the creation and management of the study of arts and culture as fundamental manifestations of Colombian identity. The Alma Mater of Antioquia has acquired a commitment that encompasses an intercultural, integrative, and contemporary dialogue.
Among the categories are:
National Hall of Arts - Mutis: Taking as a reference the work of José Celestino Mutis and, primarily, his extraordinary contribution to knowledge with the Botanical Expedition. This year the National Hall of Art, which is called MUTIS 2020, calls for artists who have as a principle in their research themes related to nature.
Memory Award, Memorial sculpture: The Memory Award was born in 2002 at the University Museum of the Universidad de Antioquia MUUA seeking to contribute to the development of cultural expressions through art, literature, and research; supporting cultural dissemination and promoting spaces for knowledge and the promotion of identity and collective self-recognition; stimulating, recovering and debating the collective memory.
