Aica Awards 2008

The International Association of Art Critics (AICA), Venezuela Chapter, presided by art critic Bélgica Rodríguez, presented its 2008 Awards with the support of Corp Banca, within the Visual Artist Week held during the month of May. The Aica 2008 Awards were given, for their sustained achievement, to Oswaldo Vigas and Colette Delozanne in the category of Established Masters; to Julio Pacheco Rivas in the Established Young Artists category; to Ángel Marcano as emerging artist; and to Milton Becerra in the International Projection category, for his presence in worldwide events. Also, two special awards were presented, to Francisco Da Antonio for his constant and extensive efforts as cultural promoter, curator, and teacher, and a tribute to the recently passed María Teresa Torras. The award ceremony was held in the auditorium of the Corp Banca Foundation¿s center.
